i updated my youtube one for the first time since i was LITERALLY 12 YEARS OLD the other day, and youtube is my only other "professional" place online, so i figured i'd pretty it up with my most official looking layout...

i know i haven't been here in a bit, but im just working on things and busy with school!!

arbitrarily right now i have decided to rebrand my newgrounds profile to match my bluesky one. I liked my old profile, especially the pfp, but i think i'd like to have this place seem a bit more portfolio-esque and just overall more clean looking, and i dont think its get cleaner for me than this haha

i say i use this place as a portfolio almost because, somehow, most of the music ive made and can reasonably release is on here!! along with all my old art which... i kinda wish wasnt on here... i know it's been a bit but since last ive posted any kind of art i've kinda decided i dont wanna be an artist anymore. i dont really get any real joy out of drawing, and whenever i do rarely draw its just because i have an idea in my head i want to get out and express

soo that's not to say i'll never post art again, its just probably going to be very rare.

speaking of posting things, i have things to post!! i made a game and a few more songs i think i can post since I was last here. im trying to get the game properly working on a web build, there's one single bug i have to fix before it's totally done. i'll post the songs i made for it too, and maybe some other things if i can!!

and speaking again of games, im still working on the one i posted about previously!! it's going quite well actually, it needs one more key system until it's functionally complete and just needs to have all its assets drawn and dialogue written... which is kind of crazy. i know art and writing is like 75% of the game, but the thought of being done* programming for a game and just getting to fill it all in is crazy to me.

in my experience with programming so far, i honestly think i really really like it. its kind of improving my self-esteem in a way? for a lot of my life i was called stupid or made to feel less intelligent than i really am, but im finding that im like the smartest person ever when it comes to programming and its lowkey making me feel really good about myself. i think im going to keep programming and making games, and im interested in taking up HTML and CSS to get into web design too.

anyway, i dont have much more to add. things are just going pretty good and im feeling pretty alright about everything im making. i reeeeally reeally wanna try and use this site more, but there's just some things i cant always post. im sorry!! i love newgrounds and everything about and i intend to stay here, im just out sometimes

I've been gone so long... Sorry!! College has been a bit more tough, but also I've been working on a game!! It's going pretty smooth, but we've still got a long way to go. Should hopefully be out before the end of next year!! With working on a game though, I can't really post any songs from it as I want to release them all in the form of some kind of album when the game's done. So I hope you can wait till then!! Until then, here's a screenshot of the game with some placeholder assets.

I think I've wanted to make a game since I knew what games were, but relying on other people to help me make things has only worked like... once. Not to bash on anyone I've worked with, I get they have lives n stuff, but it just motivates me to wanna be able to do stuff on my own. There's like the barrier though that's stopping me, probably just the amount of work making even a small game is

I definitely don't have the programming experience needed, but even if I learned I don't know what I could even make on my own considering my art skills aren't the best either (at least when it comes to the ideas I have)

There's one game I could 100% make all by myself right now, but it wouldn't have the art style I would want or need for it. It would have a more serious and kinda horror feel, and that's not really something I can accomplish in pixel art, my style is too cartoonish and my understanding of pixel art is too shallow. I guess I'll just keep working at it, but I probably wont have anything of my own to show for quite some time...

I love NG so much, I grew up playing Castle Crashers and Battleblock Threatre almost every day I could and all the flash games I played on off brand ng sites… this was my life as a kid when I wasn’t playing Mario or Minecraft haha
